Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work Mon-Thurs from 10a-3pCST (my last session is at 2pCST)

At this point I do not have evening or weekend availability.

  • Sessions are typically 50 mins. We will start on the hour and go until 10 to. If you are in need of longer sessions, please reach out and I will see what I can do. Prices will match length of session.

  • I’m pretty flexible regarding cadence of sessions. I like to start seeing my new clients weekly for the first 2-4 weeks to help build our relationship and get into a good rhythm. After that, I’m happy to meet weekly, biweekly, or monthly. I also have a few long term clients that I see as needed.

  • That depends on you. I’ve seen clients anywhere from 6 weeks to going on 6 years. It depends on what you’re coming in for and how your goals evolve.

That being said, I don’t believe in endless therapy. I believe therapy has a beginning, a middle and an end and that we are always working towards a goal, if not multiple goals. Once those are achieved and if there is nothing else you would like to work through, our time together will come to an end.

  • I believe everyone has the right to be seen, heard, respected and accepted. By setting aside 50 mins of your week, you are taking time to focus on your wants and needs without distraction or interruption. YOU are the priority. It can feel scary, empowering, enlightening and everything in between and I will be here to support you every step of the way.

  • I see all of my CA and non-Austin based Texas clients virtually. For Austin based clients, we can meet at my office or do “walk & talk” sessions.

  • I am available via phone, text or email.

If you need to reach me urgently, I suggest you text me and I will get back to you as soon as I can (the phone number listed receives texts as well as voicemail). If it a non-urgent matter, feel free to email me or leave a voicemail. I try to get back to everyone within 24 hours.

If you are having a life threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your closest Emergency Room.

For mental health emergencies, you can call the National Suicide Prevention Line: 988

*This practice is unable to provide crisis intervention and response after hours.

  • I do not. I can provide super bills for you to submit to your insurance at the end of every month. Some insurance companies reimburse up to 80%. Please contact your insurance provider and ask about your out of network provider reimbursement policy/benefits.

  • Individuals - $185 - $225 for 50 minutes*

    Couples - $225 - $265 for 50 minutes*

*There is a range of fees for services based on what you can afford to pay at the start of therapy. The more you can pay, the more sliding scale spots I will be able provide for those who need them. That being said, I do not want the price of therapy to be a barrier to you accessing services, so if you think you would like to work with me but can't afford the price ranges listed above, connect with me here and we'll see if we can work something out together.

*I can offer a sliding scale for a select number of clients, if needed. We would come to that amount together. To understand more about sliding scales, click here.

Late Cancellation/No Show Fee - $225 (charged to the credit card on file)

To collect fees, I use an encrypted system called IvyPay that was created for therapists, by therapists. You input your credit card information before our first session and I have no access to your credit card other than to charge you for our scheduled session. I usually bill clients weekly.

  • Through HIPAA, you are entitled to confidentiality regarding your sessions, barring the few exceptions we will discuss during our first session. All email, texts, voicemail and video chats are through HIPAA compliant platforms.
